| View in browser       Oh I Wish I Had a River I Could Skate Away On Visit a local (or non local!) skating rink   Some of you might already be experiencing the full body chills just from reading the above title, from the Joni Mitchell Christmas classic. And we know, this song has only a little to do with skating. But it does make us deeply long for something … and you know what, today that longing can be for skating.   We know this winter activity may be nothing new to you — skating, of course, is not a revolutionary idea. But sometimes you need someone to tell you to revisit the classics. And to do it today. The activities you loved as a child should, without a doubt, be shared with the next generation. And at a time in history where we’ve all been stuck inside FAR more than we would like, here we are to tell you to venture out, strap on those skates and hit the ice.    And this could mean many-a-thing. Lake people, go hit the lake (check safety and conditions first!)! City folks, Google Map that local ice rink. And of course we wouldn’t leave you without some ideas too. Check our list of favorite ice rinks in the Metro Detroit area.    May we even suggest being adventurous and seeking out one that involves a bit of a drive.
